    Shane Walters Artwork Website Launched

(MAY 28TH, 2013) Painting is the latest activity to peg my artistic interest. I’ve been painting on both large and small scale canvases using oil or acrylic paints. Mostly, I have been creating abstract expressionism paintings as that is the style that I enjoy portraying the most. However, I have done several still life paintings as well. I’m very excited to debut the new Shane Walters Artwork website to art lovers worldwide.

    BLOG: I’m Quitting Smoking

    Shane Walters Images 0700

March 28, 2013 by Shane Walters

Shane Walters Instagram (ShaneDWalters)I’m quitting smoking and my plan is to use social media for extra support in the painful process. All this week I have been posting a new photo on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, StumbleUpon and other social media pages to help me reach my hard to reach target of quitting smoking. I plan to continue this photo a day posting process for about two more weeks.

The story behind this posting process… By the time I reach the last photo I want to post, 3 weeks will have gone by without smoking a single cigarette. They say once you reach that mark it becomes much easier to complete my goal of a smoke free life. I’m hoping to reach that mark and I’m using social media to help even if only a little bit.

It sounds ridiculous but as a 5 year smoker I’ve tried everything to quit the habit. It dangers not only my own health but the health of people around me that I love, so now I’m officially quitting smoking. I figured I would try a new way. A way of physically seeing how many days I have left (via photos in a folder) until I’m in the clear.

Even as I write this I have the shaky hand sindrome just because I have written the words smoking or cigarette too many times and now my brain is pinging the word ‘CIGARETTE’ over and over in my head but it’s all good because 3 weeks is near.

If at any time the daily photos stop before I reach the 3 week mark that means I have return to my bad habits and I have brutally failed at quitting smoking.

    Wish me luck!

BLOG: Worlds Collide As Formula One Returns To America

2012 Formula One Returns To America (Circuit Of The Americas) The Track

November 15, 2012 by Shane Walters

2012 Formula One Returns To America (Circuit Of The Americas) The TrackIt’s been five long years since the premier form of motorsports has crossed the pond into the United States. Primarily dominated by oval racing fans, America’s corn fields and high rise buildings alike are filled coast to coast with rabid fans who follow the NASCAR circuit. However, this form of oval racing fails to reach the radar of anyone on the other side of the ocean. Wherever the destination, Formula One brings the world with it.

During the 2008 season, F1 had 600 million sets of eyes glued on the television tube (per race), nearly double the U.S. population. In comparison, this makes the NASCAR viewing audience appear a small sewing circle at just 5 million. Furthermore, the cumulative F1 television audience was calculated to be 54 billion during the 2001 season.

F1 is the undisputed polar opposite of what the general American expects to see when they enter a racing circuit. Bumpers are replaced by wings, roofs replaced by helmets. Full blown rocket ships on wheels will enter the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin, Texas this weekend making the oversized NASCAR stock cars look like small ill-handling trucks. While in 2012 their isn’t much of anything stock on a stock car, F1 is the future of everything automotive. For years, these formula teams have laid new technology groundwork while simultaneously paving it for auto manufactures worldwide.

The purest form of racing in the United States isn’t done on pavement. Here our tracks are carved in dirt then covered in late models or sprint cars who slide sideways and turn right to go left. While we have an equally strong base of asphalt tracks and fans, the same types of cars will be found on both with a few minor changes.

Europe on the other hand grows their motorsports fan base through the use of karts, similar in size but much different than your Target shopping carts. These are really really fast karts, topping 125 miles per hour on a regular basis with built in, yet unnatural, seat warmers as these buttox holders scrape along the racing circuit. Karting is the only form of racing machines capable of reaching g forces equal to F1 cars as they turn on dimes simultaneously hopping over the curbs, chasing the hundredth of a second advantage.

These two very different worlds of motorsport will again collide this weekend for the first time in five years. Tomorrow, practice 1, cars will be unleashed on the shiny new circuit for the first time. The first purpose built Formula One track ever constructed in the United States. Built around a state-of-the-art 3.4-mile circuit track with capacity for 120,000 fans and an elevation change of 133 feet, the facility is designed for any and all classes of racing – from motor power, to human power.

Previously, the United States Grand Prix took place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, that was 2007. Two years prior arguably the most controversial sighting in Formula One history, as over half the sporting teams refused to compete. These teams were obligated to use a set of tires that were faulty for the IMS banking and sure to cause disaster. Only a handful of cars using a different brand of tires crossed through turn 1. Following the event, tensions ran extraordinarily high between track owner Tony George and F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone who was later quoted saying it did not matter to him whether or not there was a Grand Prix in America.

Most importantly, as an American I’m thrilled that for this weekend only it’s not required I stay up until 4AM just to watch a practice session.

    MONOGAMY DEATH BY COMPUTER

July 24, 2012 by Shane Walters

A Story: MONOGAMY DEATH BY COMPUTER

2015 Shane Walters Portrait Photo IMG_0204

Monogamy has taken a colossal leap off a cliff, taking the majority of us into dark cold waters along with it. It’s pointed me in a very dark, dangerous and direct path of dominating, submissive as well as the occasional angelic strangers, who are engaged by the tackle bate delivered. Sent not through water but instead through dating sites and various digital outlets. Delivered not from a boat via fishing rod but from the dark corners of the internet via my apple keyboard. Guys love to point the blame on females for failed opportunities at monogamy and vise-versa. What if it’s not the fault of either gender and instead just the times that have changed right under our feet?

Recently, I have done my best to avoid anything close to a monogamous relationship. Running from the fear of the sure devastation to both parties after sharing your most intimate thoughts. It’s led me down the yellow illuminated highways long after last call, hours from home, into neighboring states, chasing the unsustained and extremely brief rush received from meeting almost any girl for the first time. This same rush is just intensified by the fact this girl is unaware of my real name and myself knowing it’s highly feasible she went with the same plan of attack.

Soon after hello it’s likely one of us will be on our knees with a belt strapped around our necks or dancing horizontally on top of a dark red comforter. A belt not to be used for keeping our pants up but instead used as a leash to drag each other around a dark room leading to the sure removal of all clothing, pants included if this isn’t already the case as I walked through the back door threshold. The most extreme versions of daddy/daughter, schoolgirl, slave or any kind of roll play that sparked our interest in the heat of the moment.

Outfits, ice cubes, dildos, vibrators, whipping sticks, pastel sharpie markers, rope, scented lubes and my personal favorite her overuse of eye makeup. This only allows me to make her eyeliner run like a water hose down both cheek bones during an extreme face fuck. Her head hanging upside down over the edge of the bed as gravity goes into effect on her eye makeup. Touching, sucking and licking the most taboo of area’s reaching for that moment when one of us draws the line and says “That’s too far”. Hours spent exploring every inch of the human body and our darkest fantasies that might be too dark to share with someone we know from our personal life. All these tricks and toys used only to keep the night interesting and hopefully create a memory.

For years, I’ve held the philosophy that monogamy no longer exists and cant remember a point in time I thought otherwise. I recognize the temptation around nearly every corner of my daily travels. A romantic at heart I’ve never cheated or even broken off a relationship. I’ve always thought it was more important to have the ability to work through an issue then it was to match sexually, emotionally or mentally. I’m certainly no relationship expert but I’ve had my fair share of long lasting relationships that have ended in spectacular fashion. While I’ve always been a fan relationships it’s more because I selfishly just want to get close to someone, allowing me to bounce my most extreme thoughts off of them as opposed to the alternative of an overpaid therapist who is likely to be equally or more fucked up than myself.

The world is getting smaller. It’s much easier for people in a monogamous relationship to fall to temptation when their Facebook inbox constantly fills itself with possible suggestions for new companionship. Dating sites spend millions in advertising and these companies dont care if you join the site in or out of a relationship, in fact on a select few it’s even encouraged for married men and women to join. Their are millions of people who are bored with their own marriage selfishly looking to pull happy couples apart for a single one night stand in hopes they fulfill an urge they cant shake to try something new and it all starts with a simple harmless “Hello”.

In the past women stayed home and took care of the family while the men when to work providing the best they could from outside the white picket fences. We had far less options in the never ending search for compatibility. Today, we are looking at times when both sides of the partnership find themselves in offices surrounded by people disengaged from a failed marriage.

These aborted marriages have led to more fish in the sea for us all to gaze at without being blinded by shiny rocks held in place by silver or gold bands. Men buy these large sized rings because to the single side of the the population they are better known as electric fences informing us to keep out. The lack of a ring only gives us all more options when we walk out of our homes and into the gates of population weither you are handcuffed to the rules of a marriage or not. Temptation, even for the most loyal couples is always lurking an ugly dark cloud over our heads forcing ourselves to ask the question, “What could be?”

WALTERS WEB DESIGN FOUNDER LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

April 9, 2012 by Shane Walters

Shane Walters 2011 SKUSA Las Vegas SuperNatsAPRIL 9TH, 2012 (ST. LOUIS, MO) I founded Walters Web Design in 2004 and since then thousands of hours have been spent moving a mouse in circles attempting to create the most eye appealing websites possible. 8 years and 300 website designs later I feel I have succeeded providing internet presence for drivers, teams and companies specifically in the motorsports industry.

Beyond website development I have pursued a racing career with the main intent of feeding a cold blooded addition to the sport. In recent years racing has led me to high powered, light weight road racing karts following the SKUSA Pro Tour and now defunct STARS of Karting Series. However, in the past I have piloted dirt oval cars and have plans to return to oval racing scene in the future because that form of racing fits my driving style much better than turning left followed by right hander or two.

I have a long list of halfway pursued hobbies that I try to fill as much as my time with as possible. Many years ago I picked up a camera and started snapping pictures of karts as they flew by at 100+mph. Until recently this hobby was held strictly in the presence of a racing surface. Recently, I have began taking photos beyond the gates of a motorsports complex, most of these pictures are posted on my new website. I have many locations in mind that I would like to visit soon, those photos when taken will also be posted.

Please point your web browsers to my new website http://www.ShaneWalters.net to browse photos throughout my racing career, among much more racing related content. You can also view photo albums from around the St. Louis area that I have recently snapped. A single blog post has also been placed on the site as well, though I have plans to expand this section of the site in the future.

    About Shane Walters
Current SKUSA Pro Tour karting driver with a full list of hobbies halfway pursued. I’m also the sole founder of Walters Web Design and as a result I spend most of my day moving a mouse in circles. The rest of my day is spent brainstorming the darkest corners of my thoughts for the most offensive, off the wall and embarrassing twitter posts I can possibly create. Why? So the content of my account is greatly divided from the average twitter user and perhaps install a smile on your face at my expense.
